Founding membership has it's privileges...

(Offer ended May 22, 2019 at 1pm PST)
Can I share this with you? It’s something I and many others are passionate about.
When I was in India, I was completely blown away by the generosity and humility of the people there. It seemed that the less people had, the more they were willing to share with you. Their food, lodging, whatever they had, it is considered an honour to share with guest.
I soon learned that this is a value that is woven into the fabric of the culture there and in many places. I learned that in yoga, there is a deeply held core belief that… once you take care of your family’s basic needs for food, shelter, clothing, education etc. that one’s extra resources, time and effort is meant to be shared to help out others in need (not, I must point out, meant to go on striving for a bigger house, a better car or a more expensive t.v.)
This really resonated with me in my own heart. I knew this was the philosophy that I wanted to move forward with in my life, though I wasn’t sure exactly what that was going to look like.
I LOVE helping women learn safe and gentle yoga so they can feel good, live well and enjoy a life they love to the fullest.
I also think I have found a way to “give back” to communities and causes in need (read more about this below)
So, you may have already heard, I am planning on launching an membership site that will do exactly that. It’ll be launching on August 1, 2019.
Life has been a bit full the past few months, what with my dad getting sick and the travel, to Costa Rica for the retreat and Tofino to settle my husband in at his new job.
So I was a bit waylay-ed in starting it, but sometimes the universe works in beautiful ways.
During the delay, I have found and signed up for a professional business training program that will help me build this membership the right way.
I want to learn everything I can to make this an incredible, life-changing experience for my members.
I know it will save me a lot of time and energy, by having professional expertise and coaching behind me.
So, if you're a woman who would love to give back while creating a nourishing, practical and sustainable home yoga practice that you love, I'd like to invite you to join me on this journey and become a founding member.
Being a founding member means that for THREE years, you won’t pay any monthly fees and you get to be in on the ground floor and be part of the creation of something great that will serve many future members and populations in need.
There are 2 more things I want you to know…
1)
For those who decide to join us and sign up as a founding member, I will do a draw with the founding members’ names in a hat (or big bowl) to win their membership, not just for three years, but for the lifetime of the membership (as long as the membership is active).
2)
The vision of this project goes beyond helping women create a nourishing and gentle home yoga practice they love. It has a “giving back” aspect built into the business model which means that a percentage of the profits are going to be allocated to worthwhile charities that support humanitarian and environmental causes. This is why I am so excited. Not only do we get to “get our yoga on” and increase our own health and well being, but we also get to make an impact in the world in the process.
Does it get any better than that?
I am planning to increase the percentage we donate, every time we reach another milestone in the numbers of members we have, until we reach a 90% donation rate. (This is so exciting!!).
AND to get the ball rolling, I am going to start off by donating 5% of all the founding members fees to a charity here in Kamloops that supports folks who find themselves in the position of being homeless. (other charities we have supported in the past have been the “Y” women’s shelter and “Out of the Cold” in Kamloops. Members will also have a say in being able to suggest worthwhile charities we will donate to each month)
This is such an opportunity to have a positive impact in a world that needs so much help and love. I couldn’t be more thrilled.
So, I have set a date for opening the complete membership: August 1st, 2019.
Between now and then, I will communicate with you on a bi-weekly basis, asking for your input and offering updates and behind the scenes looks into the implementation.
I want to be up front with you, this is not done. I've only just started building the website and gathering the content. It will not be fully available until August 1st, 2019. (this will also be the start date of your three years founder’s membership).
The site plans to have new weekly online yoga classes with me, gentle and intermediate, a step by step guide of how to establish and sustain your home yoga practice, and tons of supportive materials from guided meditation, to pose tutorials and alignment breakdowns, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and more. It will have lots of little goodies and surprises in store. I don’t want to give away all the treats but you will see when you get inside.
My goal with this membership is to create a complete online yoga studio that you can come to anytime you need, from anywhere, in the comfort of your home or while traveling, in your pajamas, as you are. You will be able to access it from any and all of your devices from cell phones to tablets to laptops with internet. (you don't need to be on Facebook to use the site).
I have been calling it “Yoga for Real People” but maybe you can help me brainstorm a better name.
I am excited to build it together. You have a say in what you want and need out of the platform and I will do my best to implement it.
Here’s the catch… the founding members offer will only be for the next 24hrs.
For the next 24 hours, I'm going to open up a limited number of three year memberships for a founding members rate of $399 cad, tax included.
So, if this is calling to you, I would love to have you join me on this journey. You can email me at info@angieedgson.com
I am thankful for your support, and I can't wait to have you as a founding member in this journey!
The warmest of regards,
Your friend,
Angie Edgson
